NEWS

Lynn Goodman, and I (Sabina Magnus) met with Martine Bisagni this afternoon ( Sunday 3/23/14) to see her street level studio and teaching space and to talk about how the Brooklyn Potters could work with the Brooklyn Workshop Gallery to increase relevance to its membership. Many ideas were discussed. Martine is an experienced organizer so we feel grateful for her input and help. As some of you know Martine has offered her lovely space to us for our meetings. She also offered window space in her gallery window for those weekends to members who attend meetings. Martine is also working with Dan Marino to generate more interest in handmade. Dan has been organizing artist studio tours in Brooklyn for the past few years. This year the tour will take place during the weekend of May 31st. Martine offered her gallery space which is located in the Gowanis neighborhood to Brooklyn Potters for that weekend. She is also talking about connecting with other local businesses to generate awareness and direct connections with the public. All these ideas sound very promising and will need interested parties from the Brooklyn Potters membership. Please post comments to this or email me to let us know your thoughts

Sabina
