Ikebana class

 From Barbara Cahn
Hi - I've been speaking with a friend, Elizabeth Berry, who is a certified teacher of  Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) about the idea of doing an Ikebana demo with our group next spring.
I'm proposing it now to see if there is interest from the group.

Elizabeth has been practicing Ikebana for more than 30 years, and exhibiting her work in Ikebana shows all over the world. She has formal certification from two Ikebana schools in Japan.
This past spring she did a demo with a group of potters in Lorton VA, where people brought in their pots, and she created Ikebana arrangements in them.  She has sent me photos, which I can forward to Sabina to post on the blog.

She likes to see the pots before she buys the materials, so we would have to arrange that.

She is based in Virginia, but visits New York often to visit family. She is proposing the weekend of May 4 next spring, but we can choose another time if that's not good for people.
