MTA Arts has a deadline coming up!

Marsha wanted you all to know:

Heads up, a friend just tipped me off to this... deadline is Sept 30.  GREAT opportunity for a number of us! (No prior installation experience necessary!)

MTA Arts & Design seeks images of artists’ previous work to review in consideration for new Percent for Art projects to be fabricated in durable materials to be determined, such as porcelain enamel, glass, or mosaic. An approved fabricator will translate the final artwork design into the identified medium, therefore an artist’s prior experience, or lack thereof, with these materials will not be taken into consideration when reviewing images.
The budget for design and fabrication of the artwork for each subway station is approximately $150,000, including an artist fee of up to 20% of the final art project cost. As part of this fee, the selected artist will be required to submit a budget, produce completed designs, select a fabricator and oversee the fabrication and installation of the artwork, with project management by MTA Arts & Design.
