Brooklyn Potters gathers members into a community to enhance shared aesthetic and technical interests in the clay arts. Interaction and exchange is facilitated between clay artists as well as with the general public of Metropolitan New York through exhibitions, lectures, discussions, workshops, publications, conferences, studio visits and art making activities as well as regularly scheduled membership meetings.

REMINDER: BPG MEETING 4/28/2013

 Brooklyn Potters Meeting 4/28/2013

1. I'll be happy to bring my carrot ginger dressing recipe to the meeting for the folks who asked for it.

2. Looking forward to seeing you at the next meeting Sunday the 28th. We will have the pot luck from 6-7 pm and Nami Sakai will present
from 7-9 pm.

3. I am doing an Empty Bowls fundraiser with a friend in Bay Ridge Brooklyn in conjunction with neighborhood potters and the Bay Ridge Arts Festival to
raise funds for a local food bank and a lunch program. Both are run by church's with little funding besides some donations. We are doing this
on May 4th at one of the churches. If anyone would like to donate a bowl or two or more, bring them to the meeting or email me to pick them up from you.
Location
of the fundraiser is the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bay Ridge.


Donations of bowls accepted at April 28th meeting

All proceeds to benefit the food pantry at the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Ecumenical Lunch Program at Mt Zion Church, serving the Bay Ridge and Sunset Park communities.

Multiple bowl pick up available by arrangement.

Tony Moore - Wood Fire

Hello Wood-fire Enthusiasts,
 
You are invited to participate in the next wood-firing of  my Anagama-Noborigama kiln in Cold Spring, NY loading on Sat. June 22, firing Thur June 27 thru Sun June 30 and unloading on Sat. July 13. Please sign up and let me know if you can be available for stoking shifts.
 
Please  see the attached firing announcement for details, firing fee forms, recommended clays for wood and directions to the kiln.
 
Please let me know if you intend to participate.
